FAQs

  • Please send us an email! You can use the “book it” links on our Bookings & Packages page or email us at hello@fullframeatelier.com

  • We’ve all been there! Breathe! If you can, try and do something that makes you feel happy and relaxed the morning of your session. We do our best to create a calm environment and begin our sessions with a chat to ease you in. As we build the lighting around you we take test shots to ensure we’re happy with the lighting, but also to help warm you up in front of the camera before we start the session.

  • We both do! We work as a duo, though on some occasions there will just be one of us in the studio.

  • You’re more than welcome to see your shots as we go along if you’re someone who finds seeing them helpful, but if the thought of that makes you cringe we won’t force you to!

  • The short answer is yes. The long one is… also yes. But we get it, B & W is a classic, and we can definitely send you B & W versions of your shots if you want them.

  • We take a deposit when you book and the remaining balance is due the day before your session. We will not be able to go ahead with your session until we have received your payment.

  • Yes, the amount varies depending on the type of session you book.

  • Bring a variety of tops/outfits that nod to the kind of characters you want to play (but please don’t come in costume!) We find that clothes with some texture work really well and add a different dynamic.

  • Ideally yes. We love to see colours that suit you and your skin tone, and it’s also nice to have options with a bit of texture. Of course if you really want to wear a black, white or grey top then go for it!

  • Nooooooo! If possible (depending on your hair type and length) have it cut a week or two before to give your hair time to settle. You know your hair best - if you need a shape up a couple of days before, you know what to do!

  • Yes you can, please make us aware if you plan to do so, that way we can manage the session time around it. Bring lots of aftershave cream, red rashes & shaving cuts aren’t ideal!

  • Yes you can, please make us aware if you plan to do so, that way we can manage the session time around it.

  • Please arrive with the majority of your make-up done, but you will have time to apply finishing touches before we start. Wear what you would usually wear to a casting! If you want to change lip colour for example part way through the session that’s totally fine.

  • If you usually wear make-up then please do! For those of you who don’t, we would suggest bringing a powder to reduce shine if you can.

  • Yes we do and you are welcome to use it. Please bear in mind that ironing will eat into your session time so try to arrive with your clothes already ironed as best as possible.

  • We will do our best. Glasses tend to reflect light and you end up with glare on the lenses, but we can definitely try!

  • If we have an afternoon session available on the day you’d like to book, then absolutely yes! If not we will find the next available afternoon to book you in.

  • Unfortunately not at this time. Our home studio is located on the first floor of a residential building without a lift.

  • Rarely, however sometimes things do come up so if we ever have to reschedule we will try and book you in for a time as close to your original booking.

  • You can reschedule once up to 72 hours before your shoot without losing your deposit. Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel within 72 hours a new deposit will be required. If you cancel on the day of the shoot you will lose 50% of your total session fee.

  • Yes of course! Extra retouches are charged at £20 per edit.

  • Nope, sorry we don’t offer out un-retouched shots.

  • Yes, within reason. You can give us retouch notes when you select your final images, please be as clear as possible to ensure we can get the edit right first time, but minor tweaks are not a problem.

  • No, sorry. Our working space is limited as we shoot in our home studio. If you are a minor and require a chaperone this is something we can discuss.

  • While it’s good for you to arrive 5 minutes before your session, if you arrive very early we will not be able to accommodate you as we don’t have a waiting area. The high street has plenty of cafes where you can grab a drink and relax.

  • When you confirm a booking with us we will provide you with contact details. If you do get lost drop us a text and we will find you.

  • Not at this time.

  • Yes of course you can! Just not heavy metal.

  • Yes you can. We can’t guarantee our shots will be exactly the same as photographers all have their own style, but its good to see what we’re aiming for.

  • There is on street parking in the area.

  • We will always offer for you to see the shots as we’re working so you can let us know if there’s something you don’t like or want to try. We won’t be offended, so please be honest, we want you to walk away happy.

There is no right to reject based on style, content, composition or editing.

  • It takes 10 working days.

  • We work in a collaborative way so you’re welcome to give suggestions and feedback. The best way is to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve and stay relaxed.

  • We will take out any unsuitable shots (blinking, focus issues, duplicates, speaking etc) so that every shot we upload to your online gallery is a good option.

Your shots will be uploaded to a website called Photoworkflow. You will receive an invitation to create a profile which will allow you to view your shots, select favourites, leave comments, share with your Rep or trusted friends and finally make your selection.

Please check your junk mail if you have not received your invite within 24 hours.

This website is where you will be able to order your final choices. You can leave retouch notes on your selected shots, as a rule we do a very natural retouch but please let us know if there’s anything specific you want.

Orders take up to 10 days to edit upon receipt of your final choices.

Once we have edited your chosen images they will be available to download in both low and hi res from Photoworkflow.
